Rolex Datejust – Vintage classic, yellow gold look, circa 1978

The Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 is a timeless vintage classic in 36 mm. According to the serial number, this piece dates back to around 1978 and boasts an attractive design with a yellow gold bezel and gold crown, which gives the watch an elegant, warm character.

Worn on a leather strap, it emphasizes its classic look. The tried-and-tested Rolex Caliber 1570 automatic movement is at work inside.

Note:
The version with the yellow gold bezel does not correspond to the original standard configuration of the reference and was probably adapted later.

The watch has just undergone a complete movement overhaul.
There is patina next to the date “3” on the date marker, and only there.
